A different sort of bat survey!

A few of us from the bat group went to Drusillas on Friday evening. We were given a private after-hours tour of the zoo (obviously the Rodrigues fruit bats were a winner) before setting off in groups to survey for our much smaller native bats. Both common and soprano pipistrelles were seen and heard, and we are awaiting results of the sound-analysis of the recordings for any further ID's. It was a fun and very different way to spend a Friday night, enjoyed by all.
