The Sussex Bat Group is affiliated with the Bat Conservation Trust and is staffed totally by volunteers.

The aims of the Sussex Bat Group are :

  • To record and monitor the bat species and their populations in Sussex.

  • To assist Natural England with roost visits where threats to bats may exist.

A regular newsletter is produced and informal meetings and talks arranged throughout the year. The Sussex Bat Group also organises field trips, educational and social events throughout Sussex.
