Help, I’ve found a bat!
Any bat found out during the daytime or on the ground usually needs help. It may have had an accident, been injured by a cat, disturbed while sleeping/resting or be a lost pup.
Care is always freely available to anyone who needs it.
Do not touch the bat with your bare hands.
If you find an injured or grounded bat, please follow these instructions:
Contain the bat using these instructions from the Bat Conservation Trust
Contact your nearest bat rescuer, using the map below.
If contact cannot be made with a rescuer, please phone the BCT helpline on 0345 1300 228 for further advice and support.
